This is not only one of my favorite songs of all time, but it is by one of my favorite artists of all time. Yep, I know. I'm old school! This song is a mixture of the somberness of all that's going on politically, while still mixed with a little bit of hope. But really, when you think about our political landscape, isn't this sort of how we're all feeling right now? The economy is tough. Many are out of jobs. There remains a serious divide between Republicans and Democrats. But at the end of the day, Americans remain vigilant and hopeful of the economy turning around and brighter days coming. We can also say that the day is coming where we will all be free of out own political biases...it's so easy to point the finger. For the conservative who only relates to Fox News, and for the Democrat who will only get his news from MSNBC...are we ever going to free ourselves from the natural tendency to only relate to that which confirms our beliefs? Even if our beliefs are wrong, and not forward thinking? Donny Hathaway says: Yes. And I agree with him...
