President Obama is loving him some Facebook! I have noticed that the President has been really, really hitting supporters over the head a lot lately with two things:
1. Vote EARLY
2. Encourage others to "commit to vote".
Why? Well it's simple. Early voting helped him out a ton in his 2008 Presidential election. Further, the young vote proved instrumental in helping him to win the Presidency in the first place. And what do all young people have nowadays? A Facebook account! I, personally, encouraged 198 of my Facebook friends to get out and vote via posting on their wall. I did it simply by going to his website: www.barackobama.com, and committing to vote, because well...another one of my Facebook friends encouraged me to do so!
Will this work? Certainly, it the numbers are showing that those get out and early vote are really helping the Democrats' numbers...what do you think? More importantly, how powerful IS social media?
